Privacy Policy

ATO (“the app”) is an iPhone app developed by RUI. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it is kept.
In short
- There is no account to create.
- There is no developer server, and we never receive your data.
- The app uses no analytics, tracking or advertising.
- Everything you record is stored on your iPhone. Only if you use iCloud backup (Pro) is a copy placed in your own iCloud Drive.
Information stored on your device
The app keeps the following in a database on your iPhone:
- Events (title, start date and time, time zone, emoji, color, category, display format, notification settings)
- Milestones and “Did it again” entries
- Photos and notes you attach to milestones
- App settings (language, notifications, lock and so on)
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and the Live Activity read this information from storage that the app shares with them on the same iPhone.
Photos
Photos are added through the iOS photo picker. The app receives only the photos you choose, and copies them into its own storage. When you save a share card to Photos from the iOS share sheet, only permission to add to your library is requested. The app never reads the rest of your photo library.
Contacts (Pro)
The app asks for Contacts access only when you use Import birthdays from Contacts. It reads names and birthdays, processes them on the device, and creates events only for the people you select. Contact information never leaves your iPhone.
Face ID
Face ID lock (Pro) is handled by iOS. The app learns only whether authentication succeeded and has no access to biometric data.
Notifications
Milestone notifications are local notifications scheduled on your device. No external server is involved. You can turn them off at any time in iPhone Settings.
iCloud backup (Pro, optional)
When you back up, the app writes your events, milestones, entries, notes, settings and photo records (not the photo files) into a single JSON file in the app’s own folder in your iCloud Drive. The file is stored by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy; we cannot see it. Unless you use backup, your data does not leave the device.
Purchases
Buying and restoring ATO Pro goes through Apple’s App Store (StoreKit). Neither the app nor the developer receives your payment details.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs and does not provide, sell or share your information with anyone.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes all of its data on the device. iCloud backups can be removed in iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
